About DTM Sporthorses
DTM Sporthorses was started with a dream of restarting OTTBs when their racing career comes to an end. Since that dream has become a reality, we have lots of breeds coming through our barn. We specialize in hunter jumpers and eventing training.
We are proud to serve in the Auburn/Opelika area since April 2017. We have rehomed over 50 horses to kind and loving homes.
Training
How we do what we do
Of course, every horse is different. We start with A LOT of desensitization and groundwork. After we do under saddle work, introducing concepts of softness, moving off the leg, and relaxation. Next is ground poles and small jumps. Our program is tailored to each horse and the training that they need.
Our Care
Our Helping Hand
At our barn, we feed nutrena pro force fuel and stock and stable. Before every ride, our horses get a deep grooming from head to tail! We try and catch any abnormalities early and get our vet out fast. We have a massage equine therapist and a farrier on speed dial. Feel free to ask any questions!

Where we do what we do
We are in the process of relocating to our new barn in Opelika! We are currently located out of Silver Lining Equestrian Center in Auburn, AL. We have a 6 stall barn, jump arena, dressage arena, and cross-country jumps!
